Shannon Goffin

Shannon was born and raised in Sudbury, and earned an Honours Bachelor of Science from Laurentian University in 2004. She obtained her LL.B. from the University of Windsor in 2007, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2008. In 2014, she achieved her Master of Laws (LL.M.) from York University (Osgoode Hall).


Shannon practiced law in Sudbury for 9 years as a lawyer with Miller Maki LLP, with a primary focus on family law, and in 2017, joined the Equity, Diversity and Human Rights Office (EDHRO) at Laurentian University. In her role as a Director of the EDHRO, she provides expertise, guidance and assistance to all members of the University community with matters of discrimination, harassment, sexual harassment, sexual violence, student rights and responsibilities, and accessibility.
